German expert tips Zim SMEs
Small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) are now regarded as key economic drivers in Zimbabwe following the collapse of the formal sector.
Standardbusiness reporter, Mthandazo Nyoni (MN), had an interview with Claus Munkwitz (CM), a Senior Experten Service (SES) expert from Germany who was invited by the Association for Business in Zimbabwe (Abuz) last week to give a short address on the importance of SMEs to the growth of economies. WHAT IS ABUZ?
ABUZ is a registered mutual support business association that was formed in Bulawayo in 2004 to look after the interests of those in business of all types in Zimbabwe; commercial, industrial, mining, professional or agricultural; registered companies, partnerships or individuals. Though currently situated in Bulawayo, it intends to establish branches throughout Zimbabwe. We currently have a membership of 135 Companies (5 Listed on the ZSE).
